Carrier Logistics Inc., a provider of freight management software for less-than-truckload fleets, said that AMA Transportation Co. Inc. has implemented its FACTS solution to modernize its business processes and improve productivity.
The ability to automate business processes with its FACTS freight management software was a strong selling point, according to Dan Hinkel, project manager at AMA Transportation.
FACTS has the ability to grow with the company, a key to modernizing AMA’s operation, Hinkel said in a news release.
AMA Transportation began its search for an operating software solution in 2017 when it realized its legacy software had reached the end of its useful life and was no longer being updated or supported by its supplier, according to Carrier Logistics. Implementation of Carrier Logistics’ systems began at AMA Transportation in May.
FACTS provides functionality needed for planning, operations, dispatch and communication, and documentation, including eliminating paper processes, Hinkel said. It also is integrated with driver-facing technology, including ELD applications, as well as fuel-tax reporting software.
Headquartered in Billerica, Mass., AMA Transportation operates more than 100 tractors from four facilities. The company provides overnight service throughout New England and expanded service to the metropolitan areas of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Carrier Logistics said the FACTS transportation and freight management system can be deployed across a network as a single database to manage all administrative and operations functions.
Carrier Logistics, based in Tarrytown, N.Y., provides LTL fleet management systems and has been in business more than 40 years. — Transport Topics
