American Trailer Rental Group Acquires Arizona Storage Rental

American Trailer Rental Group announced it completed the acquisition of Phoenix-based Arizona Storage Rental Inc.

Terms were not disclosed. The transaction represents ATRG’s fifth acquisition since Milton Street Capital’s formation of the group in June 2017. It brings its total number of rental locations to 13 and its rental fleet to about 16,000 units.

Arizona Storage Rental was founded in 1979 and has additional locations in Flagstaff and Tucson. It has 3,000 units in its fleet.

With the acquisition, ATRG “continues its strategy to build a national family of brands supporting our customers throughout their supply chains with high quality storage, cartage and over-the-road trailer solutions. Building upon the 40-plus-year heritage of ASR, we are excited to enter the high-growth Southwest region of the U.S.,” ATRG CEO Jonathan Brooks said in a release.

In related news, ATRG named John Schlueter as the general manager for the three additional locations. He has 25 years of experience in the trailer leasing and rental business. — Transport Topics
