A&R’s Umphress Named TMC Chairman
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Technology & Maintenance Council announced that Dan Umphress has been elected 2014-2015 general chairman and treasurer.
Umphress is vice president of maintenance and fleet services for A&R Logistics. He has been a TMC member since 1987 and has been active in the group’s engine studies group, which he led from 2008 to 2010.
Umphress has been on TMC’s board since 2010, and he was its vice chairman before being named chairman.
TMC also announced that Kevin Tomlinson of South Shore Transportation was named vice chairman.
Kirk Altrichter of Crete Carrier Corp. is TMC’s immediate past chairman.
