ATA Accepting Security Award Nominations
American Trucking Associations said nominations for its Security Council’s 2008 Excellence in Security Award and 2008 Security Professional of the Year Award are now being accepted.
The Excellence in Security Award, sponsored by Qualcomm, is the only nationally recognized trucking security award that honors the company that sets the standard for excellence in the field of trucking security, ATA said. Applicants’ security programs will be evaluated based on the scope and effectiveness of their security policies, procedures, training and records.
The 2008 Security Professional of the Year Award is a prestigious award presented to a security professional that has demonstrated exemplary leadership and significantly contributed to their company’s security posture. Candidates are nominated by their company.
Both awards will be presented at the Security Council’s 2008 Trucking Security and Law Enforcement Conference and Exhibition, being held in Long Beach, Calif., from April 29 - May 1. Recipients also will be recognized at the 2008 ATA Management Conference & Exhibition.
The deadline for entry is April 1, and the competition is open to all ATA and Security Council member companies.
