The vacancy was created when Steve Campbell, a former ATA safety specialist, left MFCA earlier this year to head up the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance, an organization representing safety inspectors in North America.

Lynch said Rogers “expressed a desire to do something different” in taking the job, where he will help write comments and develop policy positions. Rogers will also work with Trucking Management Inc., a division of MFCA, and the Teamsters union on safety and health issues.
