ATA Endorses Data Analytics Platform

American Trucking Associations said it is endorsing data analytics platform Athena by data mining software firm Vigillo.

Athena is designed to be a hub of all the data that are critical to a trucking company, including electronic logging devices, telematics, freight, fuel and maintenance management systems, according to the company.

“As data and analytics become more and more critical to our industry, it is important that fleets be able to track and manage information critical to their businesses. ATA’s endorsement identifies Vigillo’s Athena as an answer to the data deluge confronting the trucking industry,” ATA President Bill Graves said in a statement.

The program includes pre-built and custom dashboards as well as a report scheduler.

“Athena brings state-of-the-art technology to large and small carriers at prices that give them the ability to not only manage, but to act on the performance-enhancing opportunities that are hidden in their volumes of data,” Vigillo CEO Steve Bryan said in a statement.
