ATA Names 2009-2010 America’s Road Team
American Trucking Associations has named the 18 truck-driver captains of its 2009-2010 America’s Road Team.
The group was chosen from 34 finalists who came this week to ATA’s headquarters in Arlington, Va., ATA said Wednesday.
The 18 captains have together driven over 30.7 million accident-free miles in their collective 468 years on the job, said Elisabeth Barna, ATA’s vice president of strategic planning.
There, a panel of industry and government leaders evaluated the drivers on topics such as safety, communication and community service before choosing the final 18.
