American Trucking Associations is seeking nominations for its annual Mike Russell Trucking Industry Award.

The award, in its ninth year, honors companies, suppliers and state associations that have created a positive awareness of the trucking industry.

“Our industry has taken great strides to improve our image," ATA President Bill Graves said, citing the Trucking Moves America Forward campaign and the Share the Road and America’s Road Team efforts. "The Mike Russell Trucking Industry Image Award recognizes people, companies and associations that go the extra mile to promote this industry that we are all so proud of."

The award is named for the late Mike Russell, who helped develop a trucking awareness campaign in his role as ATA’s vice president of public affairs.

It honors trucking companies, state associations and industry suppliers who creatively generate positive awareness of the industry.

Entries must be submitted by Sept. 9, and winners will be announced at ATA’s annual Management Conference & Exhibition in Philadelphia in October.
