American Trucking Associations is seeking nominations for its eighth annual Mike Russell Trucking Industry Award.
The award recognizes companies, suppliers and state associations that have created a positive awareness of the trucking industry.
“Each year, we look to honor those carriers, state associations and allied companies who go the extra mile to promote this industry that we are all so proud of,” ATA President Bill Graves said in a statement.
Submissions will be judged based on impact, execution and creativity and must be entered by Sept. 11. Winners will be announced in October during ATA’s Management Conference & Exhibition in San Diego.
“As our industry continues to make great strides in safety and environmental sustainability while continuing to play an essential role in the U.S. economy, there has never been a more important time to tell our story,” Graves said.
The award is named in honor of the late Mike Russell, who helped develop the campaign in his role as ATA’s vice president of public affairs.
