ATA Sets New Officers Lineup

LAS VEGAS — Members of American Trucking Associations elected a new slate of officers as ATA’s Management Conference & Exhibition wrapped up here Wednesday.

Michael Card, CEO of Combined Transport, replaced Dan England as ATA’s chairman, while England became chairman of the executive committee, replacing Barbara Windsor.

Philip Byrd Sr., CEO of Bulldog Hiway Express, Charleston, S.C., succeeds Card as ATA's new first vice chairman, while Duane Long, chairman of Longistics, Raleigh, N.C., rises from vice chairman to second vice chairman.

The federation has two new vice chairmen: Kevin Burch, president of Jet Express, Dayton, Ohio, and David Manning, president of Tennessee Express in Nashville.



Burch is a former president of the Truckload Carriers Association, while Manning is the current chairman of the Intermodal Association of North America.
