ATA Technology Conference to Feature Autonomous Vehicle Experts

ORLANDO, Fla. — American Trucking Associations announced that the leader of Google Inc.’s driverless car project, along with two other experts in the field of autonomous vehicles, will give keynote addresses at the group’s December conference on trucking technology.

Under Anthony Levandowski’s leadership, Google’s autonomous vehicles have logged more than 400,000 accident-free miles, ATA said in an Oct. 20 statement from its annual Management Conference & Exhibition.

Chunka Mui, CEO of Devil’s Advocate Consulting Group, and Josh Switkes, CEO of Peloton Technology Inc., also will give keynote speeches. All the speakers will discuss how autonomous vehicle technology could benefit the trucking industry, ATA said.

“We anticipate that the ATA Executive Summit will be the premiere event for trucking industry leaders hoping to get a glimpse of where our industry is headed, not just next year, but 10, 15, 50 years into the future,” ATA President Bill Graves said in the statement.

ATA will hold its conference, which it calls Technology Driven Performance Analytics and Answers, on Dec. 4-6 in Dallas. Registration and other information is at aes.trucking.org.
