Bay and Bay Transportation said it has acquired J&C Trucking of Baldwin, Wisconsin, to expand the buyer’s tank division by 50%.
Terms were not disclosed by Rosemount, Minnesota-based Bay and Bay, which said J&C was the primary competitor in dry bulk shipments in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
“The addition of J&C Trucking to our tank division is powerful,” Bay and Bay CEO Sam Anderson said in a statement, citing improved efficiency that is expected.
The purchase boosts the size of Bay and Bay’s tank fleet to more than 150 trucks as part of an overall fleet that tops 500 units.
J&C’s employees are being retained, as is the Baldwin headquarters office, the statement said.
