Beckham Promoted to CEO of USA Truck

Truckload carrier USA Truck, Van Buren, Ark., said Friday that it has appointed Cliff Beckham its president and chief executive officer.

Beckham, who was most recently the company’s chief financial officer and senior vice president of finance, succeeds Jerry Orler, who has retired. Beckham joined the company in 1994.

Orler will remain with USA Truck as a management consultant until his 65th birthday on Aug. 29. The company has a policy that requires its officers to retire from daily manage-ment roles upon reaching 65 years of age.

Orler joined USA Truck in 1989 as its first chief financial officer.

The company also announced that Darron Ming will succeed Beckham as chief financial officer.

Ming, who was most recently vice president of finance and treasurer, has been with USA Truck for more than nine years, the company said.
