Transportation and logistics provider Bolt Holdings said it has acquired truckload hauler DSE Services. Financial terms were not disclosed.

DSE, based in Daleville, Indiana, provides shorthaul and longhaul trucking services and will continue to operate as an independent business unit, the buyer said.

Bolt Holdings, headquartered in Sylvania, Ohio, is the parent company of Bolt Express, an asset-based carrier specializing in expedited ground and air services, and Strike Logistics, a freight brokerage and third-party logistics provider.

“DSE complements our current ground and air service offerings, their fleet capacity better positions us to support the shipping needs of our customers and the strength of the team and culture at DSE made them a great fit for Bolt Holdings,” Guy Sanderson, CEO of Bolt Holdings, said in the June 9 announcement.

Bolt Holdings said the transaction will be a “seamless integration” for DSE customers.

“Our immediate priority during the integration phase is to ensure a positive experience for our new team members and customers,” Sanderson said. “We will then shift our focus to an aggressive growth plan that is consistent with each of our transportation companies.”

In addition to truckload service, DSE offers a variety of truck and trailer repair services, including emergency roadside assistance and an on-site fueling station.
