Business Sessions Anchor ATA Management Conference

American Trucking Associations will celebrate “leadership, commitment and results” at its Management Conference & Exhibition Oct. 29-Nov. 1 in San Diego.

The theme reflects ATA’s focus on advocacy and sets the stage for a meeting at which several thousand of trucking’s top executives will also have an opportunity to examine a host of “bottom-line” business issues.

Former British Prime Minister John Major heads a lineup of prominent speakers that also includes American hero Capt. Scott O’Grady, Olympic champion Mary Lou Retton and New York Times columnist Laura Pedersen.

Transport Topics Publishing Group will host a roundtable discussion on the future of trucking on Sunday, Oct. 29. Panelists will be Martin Labbe, president of Martin Labbe Associates of Ormond Beach, Fla.; Bob Costello, chief economist of ATA; Timothy Quillen, a trucking industry analyst with Stephens Inc. of Little Rock, Ark.; Tony Benjamin, owner of Certified Transport and a leading driver training advocate; and Chris Wolfe, a senior executive at Qualcomm Inc. in San Diego.
