Cadec Offers TempTracker for PowerVue

Technology vendor Cadec Global said it is now offering its TempTracker temperature-monitoring system with its PowerVue fleet management platform.

TempTracker uses wireless technology to monitor and document temperatures in reefer trailers and alert drivers and management when temperatures fall outside an appropriate range so they can take immediate action to protect perishable goods.

With TempTracker available on PowerVue, fleet managers can view temperature data on a secure website, track trends and create reports, Cadec was scheduled to announce Oct. 14 at the International Foodservice Distributors Association conference in Orlando.

Fleets can also add door sensors to monitor door openings and closings and their effects on temperature.

TempTracker, launched in 2002, was previously available only with Cadec’s legacy Mobius software, the predecessor of its software-as-a-service based PowerVue.

With Mobius, TempTracker was limited to three sensors per trailer, but with PowerVue, customers can add as many sensors as required, the company said.
