Canal Insurance Partners with Lytx to Offer DriveCam
Trucking insurance provider Canal Insurance Co. is partnering with Lytx Inc. to offer its customers video-based driver safety programs at preferred pricing, the firms announced in a joint statement.
Lytx’s DriveCam program uses onboard cameras to aid fleet customers in preventing collisions by helping them identify and correct risky driving behavior.
Under the agreement, Lytx’s DC Enterprise and DC Protect programs will be offered to Canal insureds as a value-added service through its risk management services unit.
DC Enterprise is Lytx’s most comprehensive safety program designed to help operators manage and coach all drivers in their fleet. The streamlined DC Protect program enables operators to manage the riskiest 20% of drivers while still protecting all drivers from false claims.
Gary Flaherty, assistant vice president at Canal’s risk management services division, described the DriveCam program as “one of the cornerstones” of the firm’s efforts to improve driver safety.
