Carlsson Named President of Volvo Trucks North America

Per Carlsson will replace Peter Karlsten as president and chief executive officer of Volvo Trucks North America, effective Jan. 1, Volvo said Tuesday.

Carlsson, 47, currently heads Volvo Powertrain Sweden, the company said in a statement.

Karlsten will become president and CEO of Volvo Powertrain starting Dec. 1, and will become senior vice president of technology for the Volvo Group.

Carlsson has previously held various positions in the Volvo Group. Prior to his current position at Volvo Powertrain Sweden, he was chief financial officer at Volvo Trucks.



In December, current CFO Lars Thoren will become acting president of VTNA.
