CDL Acquires Two More Couriers

CLIFTON, N.J. — Consolidated Delivery & Logistics bolstered its Midwest operations with the acquisition of First Choice Courier and Bozzay Delivery. Both companies are based in St. Louis with operations in Kansas City, Mo., and Indianapolis. Combined revenue was $8.3 million in 1997.

Charlie Walch, a current owner of First Choice, will head up the combined operations in St. Louis. Bozzay founder Terry Bozzay will manage CD&L’s ground courier operations in the Midwest.

Other new assignments include Randy Cooper and Charles Pearson, currently with the Bozzay group, as regional operations manager and regional controller, respectively.

The company said it will retain 250 delivery contractors and employee couriers currently working in all three locations.
