Celadon Logistics, a subsidiary of Celadon Group Inc., has opened a sales office near Columbus, Ohio.
Trent Dye, a member of the board of the Ohio Trucking Association and the Truckload Carriers Association, has been hired as general manager of the office in Obetz.
“We are excited about the rapid growth that Celadon Logistics has experienced over the past several years in central Ohio and are excited about the opportunities that come with opening this new office,” Celadon Logistics President Jon Russell said Nov. 9.
“With our new multiclient warehouse in Laredo coming online in December and the recent opening of the other sales offices in the Dallas and St. Louis markets, these actions clearly underscore the company’s commitment to consistently exceed the results expected by new and existing clients in 2017 and beyond,” he added, noting all of the company’s logistics sales offices.
The Indianapolis-based firm doesn’t break down revenue for the logistics division in its quarterly reports. Celadon ranks No. 43 on the Transport Topics sector list of top warehousing firms and No. 45 among freight brokerage firms.
