CEO McQuaid Resigns From Private Truck Council

John A. McQuaid resigned as president and chief executive officer of the National Private Truck Council.

His departure was announced Sept. 19 and was effective immediately.

NPTC, which represents 900 companies that operate their own trucking fleets to carry company products, is in the midst of a restructuring begun in 1999.

McQuaid said when he took over at NPTC he only planned to stay five years tops and that now seemed a good time to leave as the “board needs to determine what its leadership needs to meet future goals.”
