Transportation and logistics firm C.H. Robinson Worldwide’s fourth-quarter profit rose to $85.3 million, or 49 cents a share, from $71.8 million, or 41 cents, a year ago.
Transportation gross profit rose 17% to $288 million, the company said late Tuesday.
Truck gross profit rose 3% for the quarter, including the impacts of fuel prices. Intermodal gross profit fell 4.3%, the company said.
For the full year, the company earned $324.3 million, or $1.86 per share, up from $266.9 million, or $1.53, in 2006.
