Chrysler Plans 2-Week Shutdown

Chrysler LLC, the third-largest U.S. automaker, will shut down the entire company for two weeks in July, in a period when it usually shuts its assembly plants, Bloomberg reported.
Salaried employees will be asked to take vacation time during the weeks of July 7 and 14, Chief Executive Officer told em-ployees in a March 13 e-mail, Boomberg said.
Chrysler said the shutdown would help it boost productivity and efficiency.
