A conference in Washington this week will reflect on the last 10 years of clean diesel technology and its effect on air quality, its organizers said.
The Clean Diesel 10 Conference Tuesday and Wednesday will include industry and government officials, in addition to environmental and health leaders, to discuss clean diesel technology in the United States in the last 10 years and goals for the future, said the Diesel Technology Forum, which is organizing the event.
The group called reducing emissions from diesel engines “one of the most important public health challenges facing the country.”
Among the guests in the two-day conference’s multiple sessions are representatives from the trucking industry, the railroad industry, the Environmental Protection Agency, local ports and transit agencies, environmental advocacy groups and many others.
