Under the theme banner of “Solutions for an Evolving Industry,” the National Private Truck Council will convene to tackle pressing concerns in educational sessions and meetings in California.
More than 1,200 private truck fleet managers and industry suppliers are expected to jam the Long Beach Convention Center from May 2 to 5.
On the agenda are 35 educational and management sessions divided into eight topics ranging from workplace safety to fleet economics. Also, discussions on logistics, professional growth, surviving a Department of Transportation audit, dealing with driver fatigue, backhauling and other issues are thrown in for good measure.
The keynote speaker is Alan J. Parisse, author, business consultant and guest lecturer at Stanford University and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Also speaking will be Julie Cirillo, program manager for the Federal Highway Administration’s Office of Motor Carrier and Highway Safety.
Participants will also have the opportunity to browse an exhibition hall where 130 vendors will be hawking their wares.
