Covenant Buys ATW's Assets

Covenant Transport, Chattanooga, Tenn., purchased the assets of ATW Inc., a long-haul truckload carrier based in Greensboro, N.C. Terms were not disclosed.

Both companies specialize in moving transcontinental freight and use mostly team drivers.

"Very few of the ATW customers are currently customers of Covenant Transport, and will provide some new growth opportunities," President David R. Parker said.

The assets acquired included the list of customers, driver files and certain revenue equipment.
