Covenant Transport Group Names Paul Newbourne COO of Logistics Unit
Covenant Transportation Group named Paul Newbourne chief operating officer at its Covenant Transport Solutions logistical unit, effective immediately.
Newbourne most recently was president of Logistics Project Consulting. Before that, he was senior vice president of operations at third-party logistics provider Armada.
Covenant ranks No. 43 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
Since being founded in 2006, Covenant Transport Solutions has grown into a logistics provider for a variety of customers in truckload and less-than-truckload shipping, as well as for partners in transportation, e-commerce and brick-and-mortar retail, the Chattanooga, Tennessee-based company said.
“We are coming off of two straight years of record results for Solutions, and adding Paul’s leadership and expertise will continue to propel the logistics services Solutions offers,” CTG President Joey Hogan said in a statement.
