Creech Bros. Truck Lines is joining forces with Turbo Transport, a newly established freight brokerage and logistics company, to broaden its service.
The two companies will share facilities in Troy, Mo., and will retain separate ownership, according to John C. Dunard, president of Turbo Transport.
Creech was established in 1926 and operates 200 tractors and about 400 dry van and refrigerated trailers throughout the United States and Canada. The company also provides warehousing and distribution services.
Turbo Transport was set up in late 1998 to provide intermodal transportation.
Dunard said the alliance with Creech will help his company respond to customer requests for dedicated equipment capacity, along with 24-hour dispatch and equipment tracking capabilities. Creech’s trucks are equipped with satellite-based mobile communications systems.
Turbo Transport is not related to Turbo Logistics, a company based in Gainesville, Ga., that has used the same name, Dunard pointed out.
