DaimlerChrysler, which last week agreed to sell its U.S. Chrysler division, will keep its heavy-duty truck and luxury car units, Chief Executive Officer Dieter Zetsche told Bloomberg News.

The new company, to be called Daimler AG, will focus on premium cars and heavy trucks, Zetsche said. Daimler is the parent company of U.S. unit Freightliner LLC, which includes the Freightliner, Sterling and Western Star brands of Class 8 trucks.

Daimler last Monday agreed to sell Chrysler to private-equity firm Cerberus Capital Management for $7.4 billion.
