Conference attendees left presents that will be distributed to needy children in San Diego.
The toy drive, called Transportation for Tots, was cosponsored by ATA and Transportation.com, an Internet marketplace offering products, services and information for the freight industry.

Mary Lou McCormick, wife of ATA President Walter B. McCormick Jr., thanked those in attendance at an Oct.31 general luncheon for “starting the holidays early” with their participation in the campaign — ATA’s annual effort to give something back to its host city.

The toys — which included replica trucks and articles of children’s clothing — were presented to representatives from the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation at the luncheon. Toys for Tots representatives distributed the collection to San Diego children at the conclusion of the conference.
