Dynamex Reports Lower 2Q Income

Company Affirms Full-Year Outlook

Logistics and delivery firm Dynamex Inc.’s fiscal second-quarter profit fell to $2.3 million, or 24 cents a share, from $3.4 million, or 33 cents, a year ago.

Sales for the quarter ended Jan. 31 fell 12.9% to $98 million, the company said late Wednesday.

Dynamex affirmed its 2009 earnings outlook of $1 to $1.20 per share and said its sales would be in the $405 million to $420 million range.

Dynamex, which provides same-day delivery services, is ranked No. 60 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
