But an official of Mark IV, the company that makes the transponders, said there was no problem with them and that the firm was merely replacing units routinely as they wore out.
Reported problems with transponders not transmitting information were caused by improper installation of toll payment electronics, said Mike Zimmerman, Mark IV’s vice president of business development.
