Eaton Names Palchak Automotive Group CEO

Heavy-duty truck and auto components maker Eaton Corp. said Thursday it named Joseph Palchak chief executive officer of its automotive group.

Formerly president of Eaton’s engine air management unit, Palchak reports to Alexander Cutler, Eaton’s chairman and CEO. Palchak succeeds Scott King, who passed away earlier this month following a battle with cancer.

“Joe brings extensive automotive experience to the position and is uniquely qualified to lead our businesses in meeting the challenges within the global automotive industry,” Cutler said in a statement.

Prior to his engine management post, which he held since 2005, Palchak was president of Eaton’s powertrain and specialty controls operations. He has been with Eaton since 1973.
