EcoClean Debuts Machine That Scrubs DPFs in One Hour

EcoClean Advantage introduced what it’s calling an eco-friendly, nondestructive diesel particulate filter cleaning machine that slashes the process to one hour.

The ability to effectively clean and dry a diesel particulate filter in an hour results in improved efficiency and increased revenue potential for shop owners when compared to the standard air-blowing and kiln-baking method, which takes about 13 hours per DPF, according to Sanford, Fla.-based EcoClean Advantage.

In addition, the nondestructive water-cleaning process eliminates the need for extended kiln-baking at 1350 degrees Fahrenheit, which can cause a DPF to crack and break, according to the company.

Bryan Case, general manager of EcoClean Advantage, said fleets operating their own EcoClean machines will gain substantial uptime and save money on fuel thanks to improved fuel efficiency due to more frequent DPF cleaning.
