EcoDual Gets EPA Approval for Cummins Engine

EcoDual LLC, manufacturer of diesel-to-natural gas conversion systems for heavy-duty trucks, said it has received authorization from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to begin installing its systems on the Cummins ISM 11-liter engine.

The company received authorization for its system to be installed on all 29 engine families of the 2004 to 2009 Cummins ISM engines and said its expects to release systems certified for newer trucks in the next 12 months.

The conversion system enables heavy-duty diesel trucks to displace an average of 60% of their diesel fuel use with natural gas, according to EcoDual.
