Electronic Funds Source Offers New SecureFuel Service
Electronic Funds Source is offering a new way to stop unauthorized fuel purchases in real time by using a combination of truck telematics and fleet card transaction data to verify information before fuel is dispensed.
SecureFuel combines data from the truck’s engine-control module and the fuel card to determine the location and fuel capacity of the truck before authorizing a purchase. Information is transmitted to carrier management when the transaction is completed.
“We can limit the fuel purchase to the available tank capacity and provide real-time alerts and exception reporting to our customers,” said Scott Phillips, president of Nashville, Tennessee-based EFS.
“It is yet another example of EFS listening to our customers and delivering on the issues they want us to solve by ‘making payments smarter,’ ” he added.
EFS provides corporate and private-label purchasing cards, payroll services, money transfer and expense management services.
