England Logistics said that it has given approval to operate in China and has opened offices in five cities.
England was granted status as a wholly foreign owned enterprise, meaning it can operate international freight forwarding services in China and it is not required to work through agents or joint ventures, the company said Wednesday.
Since being granted the status, England has opened offices in Shanghai, Ningbo, Qingdao, Dallan and Tianjin.
The company plans to use the new status to expand its operations in supply chain consulting, ocean and air international freight forwarding and special projects cargo now that it has the WFOE status.
England Logistics, Salt Lake City, is ranked No. 48 on the Transport Topics 50 listing of U.S. and Canadian logistics companies.
