Equity Firm Buys ADS Logistics

Linx Partners is a private equity firm, specializing in industrial acquisitions. No price was given for the sale.

“This acquisition is a positive step in our continuing mission to lead the way as the preeminent provider of trucking, warehousing and intermodal service to the metals industry,” Bill Ritter, CEO of ADS Logistics, Chesterton, Ind., said.

ADS had gross revenue of $101.6 million in 2010, the company said. It employed 450 people and had 300 tractors and five warehouses.

“This partnership provides ADS with the necessary re-sources to continue to grow the business,” Ritter added.
