Express-1 Reports Higher 4Q Profit

Express-1 Expedited Solutions’ fourth-quarter profit rose to $587,000, from $457,000 a year ago, while its per-share income held at 2 cents.

The ground expedited carrier’s revenue about doubled, to $25 million, from $12.8 million a year ago, the company said Wednesday.

The acquisition of Concert Group Logistics last contributed $11.8 million to revenue for the period, the company said.

For the full year, Express-1 earned $3.2 million, or 10 cents a share, from $2.2 million, or 8 cents, a year ago. Revenue rose to $109.5 million, from $47.7 million.
