Faulty driving directions to Fairbanks, Alaska International Airport have been disabled by Apple after two people drove onto a runway, the Associated Press reported.
Directions to the airport from Apple had previously led drivers to the edge of the tarmac instead of to the terminal. In incidents Sept. 6 and Sept. 20, drivers went through a gate, past warning lights and signs, crossing an active runway, to reach the terminal, according to AP.
Directions have only been disabled, not updated, so when someone puts the airport in as their final direction a message warns ‘Directions not available.’
There were no injuries since both incidents happened early in the morning, between flights, AP reported.
