Pennsylvania’s former governor and infrastructure proponent Ed Rendell (D) will be joined by Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett for an in-depth look at infrastructure and transportation needs for the coming year.

The event, hosted by Bloomberg News at its Washington, D.C., bureau, aims to pull back the curtain at the Trump administration’s focus on highway spending. The presenters at the event also will share perspective on Republican congressional leaders’ agenda for the next two years on infrastructure funding for massive highway programs.

Rendell is co-chairman of Building America’s Future, a group which advocates for an increase in transportation dollars. He also champions policymakers who promote infrastructure projects around the country.

Cornett, a Republican, is president of the U.S. Conference of Mayors. In his capacity as the group’s leader, Cornett called on Trump to focus on infrastructure investment during his administration.

Also at the event will be Virginia Secretary of Transportation Aubrey Layne.
