Forward Air’s 3Q Income Improves
Forward Air Corp.’s third-quarter net income rose to $16.7 million, or 54 cents a share, from $14.2 million, or 46 cents, a year ago.
Revenue jumped 18.5% to $201.5 million, the company reported Oct. 23.
Its airport-to-airport services, which account for about 70% of revenue, rose 10.1% to $111.4 million.
Expedited truckload services, which accounts for about 12.5% of total revenue, rose 4.3% to $20 million, and intermodal/drayage, which accounts for about 10% of revenue, jumped to $15.8 million from $1.1 million.
Forward Air is ranked No. 46 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
