Freight forwarder Marisol International, a Roadrunner Transportation Systems Inc. unit, said it has opened a new office in El Paso, Texas, to enhance cross-border freight services.
The new office of Marisol, which also does customs brokerage, is a partnership with Stagecoach Cartage and Distribution, another Roadrunner company, said a statement by the parent company. Roadrunner, which is based in Cudahy, Wisconsin, is No. 17 on Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
The new office is being opened to “improve efficiency and effectiveness in managing cross-border trade for the company’s current and future clients,” the statement said.
“El Paso has a highly skilled workforce, and its strategic location provides connectivity to best-in-class companies in manufacturing, automotive, defense/homeland security, biomedical and consumer electronics,” said William Goodgion, president of Roadrunner’s global solutions business.
