A worker at the Freightliner plant in Cleveland, North Carolina, was seriously hurt on June 13.
The accident happened around 8 a.m. at the locking dock there, according to Rowan County Fire.
Freightliner employees administered CPR to the man and called 911, a spokesman says.
He was resuscitated and flown to North Carolina Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem with serious injuries.
There is no word yet on what caused the accident.
Freightliner Trucks, which is based in Portland, Oregon, manufactures Class 8 heavy-duty trucks. The company is a division of Daimler Trucks North America.
The Cleveland, North Carolina, plant has about 2,200 employees after 936 workers were laid off earlier this year, according to a press release from DTNA.
