Frozen Food Express Industries said Thursday its second-quarter loss narrowed from a year ago.
The refrigerated carrier lost $3.3 million, or 19 cents a share, compared with a loss of $4.4 million, or 26 cents, a year ago.
Revenue rose 6.7% to $101.3 million, while revenue excluding fuel surcharges dipped 1.7% to $78.6 million, the company said in a statement.
Less-than-truckload revenue rose 4.4% to $30 million, while truckload revenue fell 3.9% to $47.2 million.
CEO Russell Stubbs said the company averaged 15 fewer trucks in service during the quarter as the company continued to face challenges from the driver shortage.
