Frozen Food Express’ 3Q Loss Narrows

Frozen Food Express Industries said late Wednesday its third-quarter loss narrowed from a year ago, citing high fuel prices and lower truckload volume, though its less-than-truckload operations improved.

The refrigerated carrier lost of $5.5 million, or 32 cents a share, compared with a loss of $13.5 million, or 77 cents, a year ago. Revenue declined 7% to $95.6 million.

Brokerage and logistics services operating revenue fell to $4.9 million from $5.6 million, the company said.
