NASHVILLE, Tenn. — FuelDefend Global Ltd., a provider of anti-siphoning devices to prevent fuel theft, announced several additions to its lineup.
The VehicleProtector system is designed to stop theft of catalytic converters and diesel particulate filters. The product activates an alarm when sensors detect an attempt to remove the components, which thieves may seek to sell as scrap metal. Different versions of the system retail for $200 to $500, company executives said here at the Technology & Maintenance Council’s annual meeting.
FuelDefend also has introduced BluCaps, lockable caps for diesel exhaust fluid tanks designed to prevent tampering and contamination. They sell for $45.
The company also added Safe-T-Loc, a wheel nut management system, to its product offerings. The system, which retails at $15 per wheel, fits over the wheel nuts and provides a visible indication when one is in need of retorque.
