Gasoline’s national average price continued its downward trend, falling 4.5 cents in the past two weeks to $2.47 a gallon, according to latest Lundberg Survey of fuel prices.
Both mid-grade and premium fell 4 cents to $2.61 and $2.73, respectively, analyst Trilby Lundberg said in her twice-monthly survey, which was released Sunday.
The lowest price was in Cheyenne, Wyo., at $2.16, while Anchorage, Alaska, had the highest, at $3.23 per gallon.
Diesel and gasoline have been on a downward track the past few weeks, with gas down for eight straight weeks and diesel down in the past five.
The Department of Energy will release its weekly survey of diesel and gasoline prices Monday afternoon in Washington.
