The average price of a gallon of regular gasoline at U.S. filling stations rose 9 cents in the past two weeks to $3.20 a gallon, according to the latest Lundberg Survey of filling stations.

And behind soaring crude prices, the pump price could jump another 20 to 30 cents soon, analyst Trilby Lundberg told Bloomberg News.

Oil was trading below $105 a barrel in pre-market trading Monday, the Associated Press reported, following Friday’s intraday record $106.54 a barrel.

Crude set a record closing price Thursday on the New York Mercantile Exchange, finishing the trading day at $105.47, Bloomberg reported.

The highest average price for gasoline in Lundberg’s survey was $3.58 a gallon in San Francisco. The lowest was in Cheyenne, Wyo., at $2.95. The survey is released twice a month.

The Department of Energy releases its weekly survey of diesel and gasoline prices Monday afternoon. Gas set a record in DOE’s survey last May, of $3.218 a gallon.
