Gas Prices Stay at $2.73 a Gallon, Lundberg Says
Gasoline’s national average price rose by less than a cent in the past two weeks to $2.73 a gallon, according to the latest Lundberg Survey of filling stations released Sunday.
Crude oil prices rose during the two-week period, but refineries and filling stations did not pass the increase to consumers, analyst Trilby Lundberg said in her twice-monthly survey, which was conducted Friday.
The prices for mid-grade and premium gasoline rose one cent each per gallon, to $2.88 for mid-grade and $2.99 for premium.
Among the cities surveyed, the highest average price was in San Francisco at $3.17 gallon. The lowest price was in Charleston, S.C., at $2.47.
